Gino Matteo, still underdiscovered
By KenBJammen on Mar 29, 2009 | In News
I am actually going to take a day off of my blog regarding how I came to love the blues, to give you my first featured blues artist. This bluesman in my humble opinion is by far the most underrated blues guitarist that I have heard.
Follow up:
During the 2007 KOTB contest, I did some searching for the finalists for the 2006 KOTB. One of the videos that I watched just absolutely moved me was the Gino Matteo video of his finalist performance. After watching all four finalists, Gino was an inspiration to pull out all stops and do my best..
After the road to the finals contest, I purchased Gino’s CD “I’ve Been Thinkin’”. What a great compilation of music. I just couldn’t stop laughing at “Chocolate Jesus.” Take a few minutes, and listen to this tune. Mmmm chocolate..
This next video, hidden deep within the Youtube archive features Gino Matteo in top form playing lead acoustic guitar at Crossroads Cafe, Antwerp, Belgium, May 2008. This video shows that Gino has control over his instrument.
For more information on Gino check out his website at http://ginomatteo.com, and make sure you sign his guestbook, and if you have the opportunity get out and see him!
