Today is the Anniversary of the death of the KOTB website. www.gckingoftheblues.com. Happy deathday to you!

In a mere 24 hours after the removal of KOTB, burlapandblues.com was born. With the support of many of the original KOTB members I decided to undertake developing a forum by myself. I did a little research and found that the SMF forum was the most easily tweakable and most secure I could find. The day that I found KOTB down, I started my research. I reviewed the stock code for SMF, some 8,000 lines of code and tweaked what I needed to and registered the domain name that we wanted to use.

We did get the message out pretty quick and we had a good sign up in the first week. Brad was kind enough to make a banner for us that has done very well for us. In the last year BAB has become a forum that I really have grown to love to administrate.

Tomorrow will be the anniversary of BAB and the theme for our next contest will be announced, here on the blues blog.
