Thank you all for your great support during the past year. We will have more contests and more fun throughout the year. But you have not been visiting here to read this rambling you are here to find out what the theme of the contest is.

BAB contest #6 will be our acoustic blues contest. The prize will be $50 + (I am still working on the +, but there will be a +)

following are the rules:

The solo instrument on the track must be an acoustic guitar. You may use a backing track or not. The contest will be judged on the best use of an acoustic instrument, so do not rely on your backing track too much. If you go solo you may have an advantage if it is done well. This is also an acoustic blues contest, so a folk song will be downgraded.

Each track will be rated between 0-100 by the judges. An entry with a you-tube video will receive 2 bonus points.

Legal Crapola: The decision of the judges is final. Only those who are current and active members of BAB with more than 10 posts as of April 17, 2009 are eligible to enter. Again, the decision of the judges are final. If you don’t like it, or think you might not, don’t enter. On May 17, 2009, the tracks will be downloaded and handed to the judges. The winner will be selected at some point After May 20. If the primary judges are unable to determine a winner, secondary judge or judges may be needed to clarify the winner. The winner will be contacted by PM at BAB and must accept the prize before winning. If the contest winner does not accept the prize, the second place entrant will be awarded the prize in a similar manner. If no one claims the prize, the currency prize will be sent to Al Gore or his legal decendents, or some other dude who I think might need a little cash.

By entering this contest you agree to hold Burlapandblues.com, and its business partners harmless. What this means is that you agree if you enter and loose you have no legal whine ability or other legal action etc…..
