I would rather play with someone who knows that they can't play then someone who can play and lets the world know how darn good they are. There is something to be said about playing with a talented musician, and there is something about playing with someone who knows what they don't know

Follow up:

In my past life, (Okay not my past life, but a past musical experience) I played with one of the best guitar players that I have ever met, and he would tell you how good he was. Musicians who do this just drive me nuts!

Some of the best overall musicians will share their musical and life experiences with you without putting any kind of pressure on how different your musical experiences.

Personally I would rather not get better than spend time with someone like this.
