I noticed that you made a few comparisons to Squier Stratocasters in your review here, but unless I'm mistaken the pick-ups on this AXL has a different set-up (2 singles and a humbucker, as opposed t the 3 singles I'm used to seeing). How does this affect the overall sound?

How does the AXL SRO differ from the Fender bullet strat guitar (see the link above)? Is it essentially in the same level ie. the most affordable stratocaster just a different model name for the UK market?
Should I be looking for an AXL instead?

The Squire Bullet, which is no more a Fender than it is a Gibson, is a very cheap entry level guitar. The AXL is several steps above this guitar. It would be a rare occasion that I would recommend the Squire guitar for anyone. Generally very cheap pickups, cheap hardware and poor playability make one want to play guitar less.
