Agile Intrepid 828, Part 2 review

After putting the first youtube up and playing the Agile 828 for a few more days, I decided it would be gig-worthy. Took the guitar for a small solo deal I was playing on New Years Eve. People were impressed by the multiple strings and this guitar got the name "Ironing Board" from one of the other musicians at the venue. Yes, this guitar is like an ironing board, wide and really cumbersome, but sounding cool.
Overall, the gig was a success!
Last week, I decided to take the monster ironing board to an open mic. This open mic is more of a traditional folk open mic, so electric anything is out of the norm. After the Banjo's and other folkish singers, I came out with the Agile Ironing board to jam. My daughter caught some of it on video!
Follow up:
I really liked the tone of the guitar for some of the clip. I found that using a bass amp did a little better in giving a more rounded tone to the guitar. I really like how the bass amp handled the low register.
Is the 8 string guitar for everyone? No not really, it actually is not for most people at all. It is a very cumbersome guitar and clumsy to play. If you are looking for that low end rock, yeah, it is good. If you are wanting a neat thing to play some jazzy music to, then +1 to you, that will take some work and some patience as you learn some new and interesting ways to play guitar. A better solo instrument than a chording instrument too!
