Not quite as cold as WI, but we were at +6 this morning.  A big drop from mid-50s, yesterday.

I hadn't checked in on the big picture but we had snow falling today at about 2 o'clock and we decided to stay in instead of the usual  Outback or El Matate and plenty of fruit juice. We stayed in and grilled chicken with a salad and had 3 liters of fruit juice betwixt us 2.  Yeehaw !   I just need a little bit of Chucks stuff and I can call it a day ! aahahaha

Not yet. The only thing cancelled is the Rabbit Hopping meeting at the 4h center.  Guess the rabbits were freezing their tiny nuts off.

Dipping to -20 (without windchill) tonight with WCF between -30 and -40.

Even the polar bears are suffering from shrinkage.

Our temps haven't been that severe, but the rollercoaster is kind of crazy.  Pretty cold all week.  Then 40s yesterday, 50s today.  Then a low of 6 tonight, with highs in the teens tomorrow.

We got hit with about 1" of snow yesterday morning but the temps were low and it made the streets solid ice which paralyzed the entire area. Me and the wife both barely made it home in time and this am we are in single digits and will be stuck at the house another day.  I hope it warms up enough later today to make  into the vineyard for some grape juice.

I had dental surgery scheduled for 8 am in the morning. I will be cancelling that today. I was getting 6 implants which will be great fun that I will have another day.

1" of snow..  I blew a drift that measured 38" from the driveway on Monday.  It was -16 below (The house shielded some of the wind so I won't count the WCF).

Enjoy your tropical paradise.

We shut the shop down early and my son was the last to leave as he was waiting on his girl to get there to make sure  she go home safely. It took them 4 hours to travel about 8 miles.

I guess the forecaster/weather-guessers got this one pretty wrong, as far as the path-- how much snow ended up where.  We get enough snow here that 1" is kind of a yawn.

The rollercoaster continues here.  One day single digit lows, teens for the highs.  Then 40s/50s.  Then back to the deep freeze.  My wife and I were talking this morning about how we have been inclined to cut out every unnecessary trip outside.  Ready to hibernate till Spring.

Man, I guess its not over for us yet!  We got over an inch of ice starting at rush hour last night, and especially overnight.  Can't just plow this stuff, and it is treacherous.  In the 7 day forecast, the high Sunday is supposed to be 33.  Other than that, its is mostly teens for highs and single digits/negative lows.

Luckily didn't have a gig last night.  Most venues cancelled last night, anyway.  And if they didn't, they were empty.

C'mon spring!!!

I stick with the National Weather-guessing Service forecast, and Wunderground, which I believe is based on the NWS forecast.  The TV guys get carried away trying to out-hype each other.

We were supposed to get up to 33 today, but they revised it to only 22.  We aren't going to be above freeze for at least a week.  More snow, and below zero temps.

Well, we are supposed to have our weekly storm of the century today.   Many businesses closed in advance yesterday.  Forecasting 6-10" of snow.  My workplace closed, but it is a telework day for me, and I am still expected to telework.  (Small price to pay working from home 3 days out of the week!)

The skeptic/cynic in me thinks that they are going way overboard hyping this storm.  We will see.  As long as the utilities stay on, I can be homebound for several days with no worries.

Snow is falling on top of ice that was already on the streets from the last storm.  Ice had melted off busier streets but still on side streets and driveways.  I have two back doors, both go onto decks.  The decks are solid ice.  So, the dogs toilet trips are getting rerouted through the walkout basement for the foreseeable future.

I've had enough of this crap!  C'mon Spring!

Glad to see you starting to thaw a little.

That's coming our way.  Got open mic tonight and should be -5 and load out time, just enough to freeze putting stuff away.  In the morrow somewhere between -20 and -30 WCF to start the day of right!

Some brutal temps, Ken!    The weather guys got this one right.  We got dumped on.  Total of 10-12"  Put a new drive belt on my little snowblower, and it is working like a beast!  Very dry, powdery snow.  Great for the snowblower.  Cleaned the driveway twice yesterday.  And there was a fresh 6" or so this morning to knock out.

The snowstorm was ahead of a cold front.  Cold front swept through last night and the sky is now clear, but cold.  We are at +5 at 7am this morning, expecting lows of -2 for the next couple days.  Highs in the teens.  No warm up in sight.

Can't wait for this freezing hell to be over.  Mild snow fall today of 3.2 inches.  I have to get a few pics of the snow for y'all.  Most of the mail boxes in our neighborhood are under the drifts.  There are a few in the country that are 16-18 feet.

You CA guys are killing me.   It is 5 here this morning.

Forecasted to finally get above freezing tomorrow at a balmy 34!!!  I think we may go on a picnic.  Then back to the deep freeze of single digit lows and teen highs.

The only bright spot--  Since I've been burning some extra calories doing snow removal, been enjoying some good savory cold weather food.  Biscuits and sausage gravy, Chili, Potato Soup w/bacon, Chicken and Dumplings.  And the occasional Hot Toddy or Hot Buttered Rum.

34 sounds like a freakin sauna.  -9 without WCF on the way to work.  the weather channel said -22 with WCF, so we missed the deep freeze by a little.  Glad you guys in cali are experiencing this vortex too.

We are supposed to get 3-5 in of snow today. Presently 32 deg and the temps have been warmer than the last one which paralyzed everything. The ground is much warmer this time which means alot.

Even though we may get more snow, I don't think it will be like the last one, due to much colder temps it stuck to the roads immediately and made traveling almost impossible.

The last was only 1" but it immediately turned the roads into an ice skating rink. Around here most folks cant ice skate.
