I found that Linda had passed away.  It doesn't seem possible that it could have been that long ago.  Run with the angels, Sweetheart........

I just pulled the trigger on one of these!  (Not this particular one, but an identical guitar and case)  Epiphone seems to have stepped up their game quite a bit.  The Pelham Blue finish is translucent, so you can see the wood grain.  It plays really well, and has coil splitters.  I may swap out the pups for a set of Lollars, but for now I'm undecided.

We finished the CD, and it's been sent to press.  We also put up a Facebook page, "The Redondos".  If you go there you can see the rest of the art work, and very soon there should be some more cuts posted as well.  COWABUNGA dudes!

This is the surf band we started in 1963 when I was 13 years old.  Our lead singer, and my best friend, Davey Gearheart was told by his parents in late '64 that they were getting a divorce.  He went to their upstairs bedroom, got his father's pistol and committed suicide, hence the title, "Davey's Wave".  The entire CD is dedicated to his memory.  It took 53 years to make our boyhood dream materialize.

Hard to believe this was six years ago!  This is the one that was getting air play in Europe, and was in regular rotation on a half a dozen radio stations in France.  I never saw a penny in royalties but I don't know no nobles anyway......   When you go to this page there are gobs of other Blues Crackers songs from this and other albums.  Rocky just released another "Through The Years" album on which I'm playing on about 5 songs.  I haven't heard it yet, but there are some live recordings on it.  Hopefully, I don't suck!

We had a 5.2 earthquake last night off of the San Jacinto fault-line, with the epicenter being in Borrego Springs.  Started off just shakey-shakey and then developed some real horsepower!  It got the wind chime collection going pretty good!  I haven't found any real damage as of yet.  It comes with the territory in California.  I live about six blocks from the San Jacinto fault-line in the sunny, friendly town of, you guessed it, San Jacinto!

! No longer available

I just got one of these from the good, good people at Zzounds.  It's going to take me a while to figure out all the bells and whistles, but if you watch the entire video you'll be pretty amazed by what it can do!

Life is just a party and parties weren't meant to last.

It's starting to look like the Purple Pump died of a drug overdose.

I was actually a big fan of his.......RIP

I picked up a new Marshall AS50D for my new Fender Sonoran acoustic/electric.  They made a limited run of blonde ones, one for each GC store.  I'm loving this thing more than any acoustic amp I've played through!  It produces the sound of the guitar spot on.  It also has an on board channel for a mic, so it's the perfect little beast for playing solo. Guitar case in one hand, amp in the other, "Where do I plug in?"  It has two Celestion 8" speakers, and frankly I didn't expect much out of them, but I plugged a Telecaster into the amp, and it was packed with all kinds of low end punch!  It also has input for a sterio, CD player, or drum machine, a built in digital reverb, and a chorus, and there's also sterio separation for the speakers.  All in all, a pretty big bang for the buck!  It's rated at 50 watts, and I believe it too, especially after I plugged the Tele into it!  I never thought I could love a Marshall amp, but I'm getting this one flowers and candy for Valentines day!
