Bass Guitar / Fender Jazz Elite Bass
« Last post by chuckinator5k on August 14, 2019, 01:26:48 AM »
I tried to sell this bass for a while, no takers. Finally decided to keep it. Natural ash finish, matches my 1975 natural ash P-Bass. The Jazz is my nicest bass. Lots of sonic options, plays like butter. I record it direct and add compression and EQ via a channel strip plug-ins in ProTools. Sounds great. The recording rig I have now is so much better than what I had in the KOTB days. Wish I had it back then. I'm using a Universal Audio Apollo Twin for my interface, sounds fantastic. Makes all the difference.

Glad to hear you still kickin! I have a Viet Nam vet buddy that I check in on, he's been having a rough time too. AFIB getting bad. He gets all his medical stuff done through the VA. They've been known to drag their feet a bit. All in all though, they've kept him alive for a while. He has a huge collection of acoustic instruments.  Guitars (6 and 12 string), a couple of baritone guitars, mandolins and mandolas. Most of his stuff is made by a custom builder named JC Baxendale. Really fine stuff. I have an OM made by him, like it a lot but I mainly play electrics.

I'm still in the fight.  The blood thinner Eliquis caused a bleed in my left retina, which pretty much blinded me in what was my "good" eye, but the blood clot in the pulmonary  artery has disintegrated.  Finally killed off the bone infection in my leg with a stem cell surgery, and a super antibiotic called "Zyvox".  I'm hanging tough!!!

I am still hanging in there and liking the versatility of the Kemper.   At this point in my life anything that gets me playing is good

Right on Ken! I just laid down a track with my Bloomfield Drive and Firebird. Can we still upload tracks here? Playing is pretty crappy but I thought I'd let you guys here the amp. It's kinda bassy through my monitors. The Firebird has Buddha P90s. Pup switch in the middle position. Recorded with a Cascade Fathead 2 ribbon.

That's what I was using when I played in "New Buffalo Springfield".  It was perfect for that gig.

Speaking of solid State, I have a Roland Jazz Chorus 40 that I like a lot. The cleanest of cleans.
