I just sealed the deal for a new 2018 Les Paul Classic goldtop with P-90s.  I've been trying to snag a P-90 goldtop for all of my adult life!

Any Game of Thrones fans out there? I can't wait until the last season starts. I didn't start watching until the year before last. Binge watched most of them then watched the last season in real time. Excellent acting, writing, production, special effects. It kicks ass!

I can't say enough good things about this amp. If you have a chance to play through one of these or any Two Rock, do it. It's a bargain at any price almost. I heart this amp!

Fender Professional Strat bridge pup, volume backed off a bit, turn tone all the way down and come up from there to taste.

Into the Strymon DECO, Saturation at 2:00, Volume at 10:30, Blend at 10:30, Lag Time at 2:15, Wobble at 1:30, Type switch set on "Sum".

Into the Strymon Blue Sky Reverberator, Decay at 2:30, Mode switch on "Normal", Low and High Damp at 9:00, Type switch on "Room", Pre Delay set at 0, Mix at 12:00.

Into the Two Rock Cardiff, Volume at 12:00, Bass at 1:30, mids and highs at 1:00, Contour set at 12:00.

This is swampy af! Wish I played slide, would sound incredible with these settings. The reverb mix can be backed off a bit, might be too much at 12:00. Jump around on the pup selector. They all sound good, adjust tone accordingly. I should put the reverb in the effects loop. This is the best amp I've ever owned. I'm an official Two Rock fanatic.   :yay!:

"I'm making PANCAKES!"
Exactly!

"Did you hear about cousin Marvin? Well let me tell you! Damned if he didn't get a huge boil in the crack of his ass!"  :cantlook:
And the correct response would be,
who lanced it for him ?
Well that was cousin Dan down Chattanooga way!  :D ;)

Guitar Effects / BK Butler Tube Driver
« Last post by chuckinator5k on July 25, 2018, 12:50:37 PM »
I walked into my local Music Go Round to check out the used pedal selection. They had an old beat up BK Butler Tube Driver. Someone had gigged for years with this baby. An early battery powered version. I asked about it and the guy says, "We just got another one of these in today. It's bigger with a cord." I was like, "Can I see that one?"  Turns out it was a 1988 version with a cord and the added bias feature. In perfect condition. Looks to have been sitting in the box since 1988! You can still have BK build you a new one. With the bias they're 425.00. I paid 200.00!  :yay!: The 2nd band I was in (1983ish), 2 bandmates worked at the Dean Markley amp factory (Salina Kansas). They both knew BK Butler from when he was designing amps for Dean. He was building amps for Billy Gibbons around that time. Too bad Dean mismanaged that company. BK's flagship amp never took off. My buddies had amps 003 and 004 off the production line, both used a 4x12 straight and a 4x12 slant. Killer sounding amp! Extremely rare.

Point to point wiring. What a little beast! No reverb but it does have an effects loop. Takes overdrive pedals very well. I need to get an Alnico Blue speaker to get more of that Voxlike chime but it's really nice as is. If you're looking for a Vox AC15 sound in a boutique amp, you can't go wrong with this one.
