The Cube Street manual ( http://www.sweetwater.com/store/media/cube-st_om.pdf ) says the AUX input should work for a CD, MP3, etc. input and to control the volume using the device - my guess is that the keyboard output through the headphone jack is too hot. A volume pedal should do the trick, and in your $30 limit, a Behringer FCV100 fits the bill ( http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FCV100/ ).

Does anyone ever read these things.  I have some guitars, some amps and some effects but none of them play the guitar for me.... Yet.
