Yes!  The break did me good.   Was really 'on'.   Real good crowd, and a great night all around.

Does anyone ever read these things.  I have some guitars, some amps and some effects but none of them play the guitar for me.... Yet.

Helped re-ignite the pilot light!  I'd been a little burned out, especially with my regular band.  Too many gigs using fill-ins, same old set lists with only the easy, safe, common tunes.  I had always thrived on a steady flow of new and unique tunes to cover.   But that takes practice and rehearsals; and that is getting harder and harder to pull together.  Lots of good players, who do casuals/fill-ins, but just want to show up and do 'standards'.  I like playing better(IMO), but more obscure tunes.
