This time each year musicians all over the world look at their own wants and needs and look at purchasing that new piece of equipment that they are so desperately needed in the eternal quest for tone.
A few pointers when looking at that new thing…
A brick and mortar local store will 99 times out of 100 be your best bet. Most have very liberal return policies and most will let you try stuff out before you buy. Nothing against the big box guitar stores, but I have been in several where equipment is abused to say the least. Worst case I ever saw was a kid, around 9 or 10 drop a guitar with Floyd Rose trem system 5 feet to the ground. It was promptly returned to the wall by management.
In contrast, I have bought blem from local that has been very upfront about how the ding (etc) happened.
Ordering on line is always an uncertainty. One good place to turn is reverb.com. I have had several very good interactions and no bad interactions on Reverb.
May all your gear wishes come true.
