General Discussion / Re: Gibson downgraded and selling off property.

The prices of Gibson's have gone up a lot in the past few years which is good if you purchased a Gibson way back for investment.  This Gibson price increase I believe is impacting their sales profits.  Fender is keeping up and offering good\great guitars at a better price line.  Both Gibson and Fender "signature series" guitars I think are priced to high however. 8)

Hi Ken,

How is it going on the closet 60's Strat you mentioned prior?  The Strat you mentioned in this post sounds like another one.  Good luck on the purchase hunt!

Best wishes on the recording of the new CD's buddy!

Very cool article about the open mic!  Congrat's sir!

I still am enjoying my new limited edition Mystic Astec Gold (60's Com.) Strat that has the custom shop Fat 50 pickups in it.   8) 8)

Hi all!!

I purchased a new USA Standard Stratocaster USA limited edition that has Fender Custom Shop 50 Fat pickups in it this month. Love it!! This was a "small part" of a"big deal" when I sold my Vintage 1965 Stratocaster with original Hard Shell case which I purchased new in 1965, as well as my Vintage 1973 Martin D18 with an installed DeArmond pickup in the sound hole. I still wanted to have a good Strat!  The new Strat color is Mystic Aztec Gold which I dig!  I figured it was time, turning 65 in March.  Hope everyone is doing great! 8)
